For the Love of Nature - Collection 1

in #art4 years ago (edited)

Combining my love for Nature and Sacred Geometry, I've been making Art (with pictures I've been taking while out on my Nature mindfulness walks) that celebrate the beautiful symmetry and sacred geometry found in Nature.

“Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you.”

What can you see? (I love staring at this one, can you see the dog face?)

We're all experiencing such interesting and intense times right now, Art and Nature have definitely been some of my top "therapy" choices lately. What's been yours?

“Nature. Cheaper than therapy.”
;)

Nature has been generous with sharing its beauty and abundance, so more creations to share soon!

Love,Red

Nice pics. Hope you and the family are well. I've been enjoying my running and some music. I expect it's still a bit cool for you to be jumping in the river.

Hey steve, been ages! Yes we are well, considering everything. Hope you and yours are too :) I'm sure you've been keeping it up with the running and music, even more because of lockdown I hope? I've been getting back into a bit of running, nothing like the runs you do, but still an achievement for me ;) and you're right, no river for me yet, haven't had the urge (or courage) to do the cold therapy jumps like last year!

We're putting up our pool, so there could be evening swims as it warms up. We're all fine with all the family at home. It's a very strange time, but we're lucky not to be struggling.

Sounds amazing! You have a great space up there, must be nice! Hope the chickens are also doing well! Really wish we could have some here. Take care for now!!

The chickens are fine. Keeping us supplied with eggs.

Would still love to try those eggs once!! When things settle down, I will try to set up our first London Hive meetup ;)

Beautiful1 I agree art and nature are the best therapies. I've been getting into nature photography lately and it makes my day an adventure as I explor nature and all it's wonderment!

Thank you @porters :) I wholeheartedly agree, this art was all made from my nature photography, which has been a perfect addition to my nature mindfulness walks. Makes me extra mindful even, as I am looking even more carefully at everything I walk past :D

Hi there!

I remember you from a long time ago ( I see we joined Steemit around the same time ). Nice to see familiar faces returning and I'm looking forward to more mindful / artsy posts as that is very much my style.

I can stare at this for ages but my eyes don't know what to do with it. It feels like optical illusions and reminds me of these kind of 3D posters or puzzles from the past ( late 80s / early 90s ) that you could look at in different ways. Thanks for bringing back those retro memories :<(

I just read your ( last ) Steemit post about your absence so I won't get my hopes up about you posting much but I still hope that little words of encouragement like mine might help somewhat.

Big hug,

Vincent

Wow yes, I remember you too, don't think we've spoken (much) before, but we definitely have a few mutual friends on here :) I've been avoiding Steem/Hive for a while, I seemed to burn out very quick every time I get sucked in too much, everything just seemed so amazing to explore/get involved in (back in the day at least :P). Now I'm going for pure enjoyment and minimal commitment, so we'll see how it goes!

And haha yes I get what you mean, I've definitely gotten cross eyed while making some of these.. I've really enjoyed trying to see what I can spot in the symmetry though. The "dog" one really got me staring, especially zooming in on it, there are so many alien faces or insect like figures, pretty crazy. I'll be posting more soon, been making some cool ones! Anyway I'm just enjoying being creative again, it's been a while. Glad you appreciate them :)

I do appreciate the encouragement (I think I remember you're known for your insightful comments?), any reminder of the good ol' days that made me fall in love with this community - the awesome people - is very much welcomed. So thank you for taking the time to leave this lovely comment! I will see you around :)

That's very likely :<)

I get the whole getting burnt out thing. It's a daily challenge for me to balance energy, a fight to resist the screen staring and be more mindful, in the now, in nature and so on. It sure is addictive and I'm usually not a fan of addictive stuff.

Anyway I'm just enjoying being creative again, it's been a while. Glad you appreciate them :)

Glad to hear this! Creativity is natural, even though many people think they're not creative at all. I think that usually means they lost their inner child, the kid inside of them that wants to play and have fun.

I do appreciate the encouragement (I think I remember you're known for your insightful comments?)

Nice to hear this. I do my best :<)

Your last alinea is very flattering.

Big hug and I hope to see you around more often,

Vincent

Very true about the inner child thing, and it is so important to reconnect with and heal our inner child. Which I'm so glad to be doing lots of during this time. It's also a great reflection for me to pass down certain lessons and model healthier habits for my children, so they continue staying connected with their inner child, as they grow up <3

Nice to hear that. We tend to be way to harsh on ourselves when we grow up. I guess we learn that from other grown ups but on the inside, we're still this sensitive little being that needs all the love it can get.

Nice to hear that you're giving this little one loads of positive attention and focus on passing this down on to your children.

❤️
