I painted this in April 2018, it was stunning autumn day in southern New Zealand. I was painting outdoors in Arrowtown, which always looks beautiful at this time of year. Many European trees were planted here and every year the hillside is ablaze with fiery autumn colours. I had to capture it on canvas! I painted this artwork in oils, outdoors en plein air.
