Bitcoin wasn't built on direct cash investment, but digital labor of block-chain computations, and by promoting this you have performed labor for this company that they have promised you compensation for.
I've still yet to get anyone to explain to me the human value in this besides framing it as an alternative to credit cards which I'm skeptical about. To me that implies that a lot of people promoting this service don't actually understand it. The company's website is even less helpful. This vox article goes into more detail. This is largely just re-branded bitcoin with social media as the labor instead of block-chain computations.
