Hello again. I've been very busy this last few weeks. Building a basement studio to accommodate the new music projects that have come about. Pretty neat how the universe responds when you call out to it. If you build it they will come. I have largely neglected music for the last 10 or so years, mostly due to work and family. It seems like one day a few months ago I woke up and remembered who I was. I recalled the feeling of youth and of sound. I'm sure its just a reaction to aging and the state of the world but I'm going with it. New bands, old bands, recordings and ramblings. It's all in the works. I hope to become more adept at blogging and documenting all of this. I would have loved to have done all this the first time around, or at least documented those wild and crazy times as a teen machine. Oh well, at least I have the memories and the scars. Also, I get to tell the stories. So I may as well tell a short one now.
One time, long ago, it was the 1990's. A magical, wonderful , awful time. It was the dead of winter and very icy and snowy. Three kids were riding in an old '68 ford mustang, and I mean very old. Not a fixed up, fancy mustang. A relic of a by-gone era, complete with the years of rust. No heat or power steering (due to an earlier escapade in which the car may have gotten airborne). There was a fire blazing in the ash tray, for warmth of course. We were about to go down a steep hill when one of us got really afraid and demanded we stop. The hill was very snowy and indeed scary so naturally instead of riding in the car down the hill, We decided to take turns riding My old bass guitar down the hill, sled fashion. Pretty sure its a winter sport in Iceland now...
Well friends I hope to get more active here publishing and creating. I am constantly wowed by creative content being displayed here and there on Hive. I realize I need to step up my game a bit.
