How to Use Steemit Even When It's Down!

Hello everyone, today I'm going to show you how to use Steemit even when it is down. I'll be showing you three alternatives to Steemit. The Steem blockchain which power Steem is decentralized and there are witnesses who always continue to produce the blockchain even when Steemit get into errors. Lucky for us, there is an alternative interface. Let's get started.

#1 Busy.org

https://busy.org
Busy.org is one of the alternative platforms to the steam blockchain. That means it is the same thing as Steemit but with a different user interface. Busy.org is being sponsored by Steemit. Although they are a competitor in a way, they are favoring the ecosystem. Busy.org was one of the first ones who started. They also came up with Steemconnect which is now being implemented into busy Steemconnect is a way to securely use your private keys in order to log into third-party apps. Busy.org got wallet options. And a search tab to search for specific users. There is overview of people you follow and who have upvoted your post.

One of my favorite feature on Busy.org is there's a bookmark. You can now save a content you find interesting and read it later.

#2 ChainBB

https://chainbb.com
Clipboard02.jpg

ChainBB same like Busy.org you sign in with the posting key. The things I like most on chainBB is the "Post replies" and how I can quickly look through and see exactly what I would like to reply. One important thing to know with chainBB is when you post content on chainBB, It'll take 15% of your rewards. But you will get the other 85%. There are no percentages taken from comments and upvotes. So this very good alternative whenever Steemit is down.

Another thing I want to mention is, the "All forums" is very easy to see a specific topic. It ranks them in order from the newest comments which can be much easier to see.

#3 eSteem

IMG_1693[10287]kkk.jpg
eSteem is an app for iPhone or an Android phone. You can use eSteem to make all posts directly on the phone. It is best to log in only your posting key. I recommend you do not log in with your master password anywhere. You can add multiple accounts on eSteem for the convenient switch. You can do everything almost as you can do on Steemit. And you can get real-time notifications for each new comments and followers and upvotes. And track your followers. You can secure your profile with additional pin code and Back up your passwords.

Even when Steemit.com won't work you can still browse the Blockchain using these 3 alternatives. If you want you can switch to these websites or you can jump back and forth. I prefer using steemit.com because I'm used to it and I like the way it looks.

Don't mention it

It's wonderful to know that there are alternatives to usi4the steemit blockchain. I make use of esteem but never knew it was independent of the steemit blockchain.

Thanks for sharing

ChainBB was really new to me ! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Yeah check it out when you have the chance :)

another great post from you, sir. Thank you

You're very welcome my friend!

This is awesome. Thank you so much for sharing:)

glad I can help

I like the eSteem option. I've never heard about it.

I had only heard of busy.org but only because I was thinking "why is the tag 'busy' so popular?" .

Thanks @ vaansteam for the heads up on these other options, I was sad to be separated from steemit the other night momentarily but this will give more flexibility. Using posting only was a key that I am glad I picked up early.

I always thought it was because we were busy people haha

ahaha yeah right

Busy is pretty popular, and it does give us flexibility in case Steemit goes down

It has good option especially the notification

This is a pretty nice post @vaansteam and I really did not know of the chainbb, never even heard of it. I particularly liked how you broke everything down for better understanding. THANKS for adding to my knowledge today :)

You should give it a try. :) and your welcome

Thank you for sharing this informative post😊 i had only tried busy.org and I find it easier to write and edit there hehe

@honeybngd I haven't tried posting on Busy.org maybe I'll try that when Steemit is down :)

Thanks for such important information, it will be of great help

Your welcome my friend

I was trying to use eSteem today and for some reason it won't work with my phone... super frustrating :/

Sorry to hear that maybe it'll will get better with an update

I love using busy, they even get you a little upvote when you use their tag "busy". I would have love it more if it has a night-mode option like SteemIt, the only reason I'm using SteemIt is because of it.

I also prefer the night-mode at all times.
Good to know I'm not the only one.

Night mode is option is easy on the eyes I agree

It's really good post, especially for me who's new in steemet. Thanks.

Thank you, glad i was able to help

I use steemit.com , esteem and busy.org. But esteem app is preferable than busy.org because you can get notifications to your posts and you can save your created post. Once you're off busy.org site, you loose post. Nevertheless, steemit.com is still the best.

Thank you I didn't know that. But yes Steemit is still the best

I was trying to figure out the best way of interacting with Steemit on my phone. This will be helpful on my commute. 🤝

You're very welcome

i am also using busy.org but it some time it upvote some time not but today i am gonna to use chainbb thanks to inform @vaansteam

Chainbb is easy to use. cause I find it difficult to reply on Steemit

Información valiosa.

Creo que pude ayudar

I discovered most of these other platforms last night when I was searching for some open source project on the Steem blockchain. They are totally cool, been using esteem for a while though I have never made a post through it. The busy.org option is not working for me. Keeps saying error.

In the end, Steemit is still the best.

Congratulations for your blog, an exceptional job in just two months, amazing! thanks for using my bot I hope this will serve you to lambing your content to the moon :)

You doing pretty well yourself. I'll check out your bot

Nice article, it will be helpfull for people to learn about that problem and fix it thank bro i allready upvote

Yeah I hope so too. Thank you!

I just woke up this middle of the night only to stumble on this. I've never heard of this since I joined this great community but I must confess, this is really an eye opener. It's time to lunch into the deep, to go deeper with this great orientation and enlightenment. Thanks so much @vaansteam

There's always something new every day. The platform only gets bigger from here

Thanks for the information, i already making use of esteem and it works great for me. Great post.

I"m glad it work well for you :)

Terima kasih atas masukan anda.sangat memberi alternatif dan jalan keluar yang lain.

I've been trying to have Busy.org for my posts but with little success. Maybe it's my phone browser. Guess I'm stuck with Steemit for a while

Blessings

Right now Steemit is still the best. Just letting you know there's another option

This is all helpful information, so thank you! I would like a detailed review on eSteem if possible!

esteem is great you are great you should try it, I was thinking that. Thank you!

Thanks @vaansteam

Actually been wondering whether there is a steemit app. Thanks for the info!!

Your welcome :)

Excellent post @vaansteam! When you say "if Steemit is down someday" are you making reference to a Steemit end? Please, do not scare me, best regards
