One our core motto on #steemgigs is connecting steemians in need to steemians indeed. Accomplishing this now, is way easier than when we first started because we now have a growing community of more than 300 steemgiggers. It has not been easy in reality but another motto is: We are too lazy to quit!
Ultimately, doing things manually has not been easy. Also, not yet being able to incentivize steemians, who keep believing in #steemgigs, by at least supporting them on their #steemgigs posts, makes it even harder. Being that steemgigs hasn't generated enough steempower yet, it has not been so impactful in its effort to give support to steemgiggers and to steemians who have been passionately footing the cause.
However, we have tried to resteem posts and have posts automatically tweeted on the official steemgigs twitter account. When possible, we have managed to give out SBDs to support SteemGigs-Inspired initiatives and contests that are inspiring.
Though things have been slow, the amazing thing is that the vision is great, as broad as can be and we have really made amazing community impact as well as real world impact.
Nothing as pleasant as seeing steemians, even newbies starting out to build dreams and bringing their entire vision onto the steem blockchain, mostly because they found it is possible, upon finding #steemgigs.
Too, steemgiggers have been selfless. They know that at times, where they aren't capable of offering help financially, they can offer their expertise. Nothing as pleasant as reading the chats on the Dev-Request channel on the steemgigs community and seeing steemians, even newbies looking to bring a vision, that they never thought was possible, to life and the selfless developers willing to hear requests out.
Ultimately, nothing as sweet has being part of history or of another person's accomplished dreams, courtesy of our expertise.
Everyone has something to offer!
An entire steem library has been built and dedicated to steem, courtesy of @drpuffnstuff's resilience and this is something we at @steemgigs celebrate or is it the charity efforts by @inphiknit, @thatsweeneyguy etc. They are helping @steemgigs by doing these powerful acts under #steemgigs and we manage to accomplish steemit growth in the process.
The most powerful thing though, from all this journey is our steemgigs community!
Nothing like having a community where you know everyone's expertise. Nothing as powerful as knowing the true wealth and depth of your community. This is where we stand out!
We now have & know almost 1 person in every industry or niche who is an expert and a steemian. This is our pride!
The question now is, "what are we doing with this power?".
For now we are simply using this power to amplify the voice of others. We don't have steempower yet, however, we have community power and we simply want to serve as testimony, that community power, is power as well, especially if we move in one voice.
More recently, @steemgigs has been giving out bounties and rebates to help resound the effort or initiatives and projects that we believe have quality essence, in terms of benefiting steemians and not too long ago, we ran a contest for "the best whaleshares tutorial" giving out some Beyondbits token in the process.
There is more room for endeavors like this for @steemgigs and the steemgigs community, as @officialfuzzy needs more hands in running his projects, one such growing projects being the Bitshares hangout.
There is no doubt that Bitshares DEX is a valuable asset and as it doesn't have a solid blogging platform, steemit can easily become its voice as well.
Bitshares is practically a sister blockchain to steem, created by @dan and co-owned by @officialfuzzy. Too, most of the founding community members of bitshares formed the base for the steemit community, same as many of us are beginning to pick interest in EOS and are likely to form the core, of its members when it is full-blown.
This being the case, @steemgigs will like to put more effort in promoting bitshares by means of our expertise. You will have notices that the Bitshares DEX is decentralized and has a special community feature build into it, that enables token creation thus, the ability to bring dreams and entire visions to life, yet it is under-utilized even by steemians. This is mostly because of the deep learning curve involved with using the exchange.
For instance, with the probable bitcoin split on August 1, an easy go-to exchange should be @bitshares DEX, since it is decentralized and allows the control of one's keys but there very few resources on the search engines breaking these details down, for the benefit of crypto-novice steemians.
This is something we can adjust simply by amplifying the efforts of @officialfuzzy; his weekly beyondbitcoin hangouts.
@officialfuzzy also has other interesting projects like WhaleTank, which simply gives steemians the ability to bring their enterprise to life by gaining exposure before whales and probable support, in terms of investments. This has already helped several projects come to life, the more recent ones being Hairshares by @nepd and Looking for Niche Coin (LFNCoin) by @rawbinhutt.
On the side, we will be adding initiatives that will spur creation of content, to explain the Bitshares DEX, using the amazing expertise of our steemgigs community.
Talks are in place to make this seamless and there will be updates to this effect in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, we will like to use this post to recount some of the open "#steemgigs" still requiring servicing with bounties offerable by @officialfuzzy:

Every steemgigger and steemian; this is an avenue to practice your expertise. Win or no-win, you would have practiced your expertise and played your role as a steemian indeed, while earning from your blogposts as you will eventually have to participate, with a full blown post like is the case with a #steemgigs.
Don't forget to document your eventual experience as well after the contests end, in testimonial #steemgigs.

Thanks for the mention of Looking For Niche @steemgigs!
I hope you can keep empowering work on this platform and help grow the BitShares Exchange too. Everyone should join me in some of the contests mentioned in the post above, to get some BeyondBit and Whaleshare yourself!
Do you know alot about bitshares? One quick question, being that it is decentralized, is it possible to get private keys for bitcoin assuming one sends his bitcoin to bitshares? If so, where does one get his private keys on bitshares dex specifically for bitcoin?
I am not an expert in BitShares no. However, I know that OpenLedger have recommended pulling your Bitcoin from the Exchange if you want Bitcoin Cash, since that will not be available to you, if you leave Bitcoin on the DEX. However, I think all transfers of Bitcoin will be locked tomorrow 11 PM GMT on OpenLedger (and I suppose therefore the whole BitShares Exchange). The asset OpenBTC is not affected. OpenLedger have a news post on it here:
https://blog.openledger.info/2017/07/28/btc-bcc-and-hard-forks-oh-my/
To answer your questions, I don't hold Bitcoin on BitShares, so I don't know. What I do know, is that you're better off not having Bitcoin on any exchange. It's only really yours if you hold them in a wallet you own.
Again, I am absolutely no expert, so others will have to correct me on the above. This is just my understanding.
Your answer was all amazing. Thank you for the effort!
