Lazy Profits Part 1: The Introduction

in #bitcoin7 years ago

This is a series of daily posts outlining and showing each and every step I take to making easy money doing nothing. I work a normal job as a software developer, and am lazy to a fault. I'll get shit done if it needs to, otherwise, why spend the effort? I think this goes especially for earning passive income. Smart investing can mean the difference between a 30 year fixed mortgage on a three bedroom, 2200 square foot house or a paid in cash beach side abode with  a Ferrari. I intend to be the latter.

I am not a financial adviser by any means, but I do consider myself a relatively smart individual. Follow me on this quest to a comfortable future and glean what you deem as smart investing as you please. I simply want to share my journey into this world of passive income by way of cryptocurrency.

Well, I'm finally here Steemit. This is my first post and it's undoubtedly going to be terrible. As stated in the preamble, I'm a lazy SOB but love making money, and clearly, cryptocurrency is becoming the undisputed king of making passive profits. Hell, I've worked my job for nearly 3 years now and have, in my humble opinion, made a pretty decent return of 17 percent in my 401k to total roughly 35K. Not too bad right?

Well, in my month of investing in cryptocurrency, I've made nearly 3k in passive profits. Think about that for a second. 3k in 1 month as opposed to 17 percent of 35k. Doing some very rough math (since I'm lazy) 17 percent of 35k is roughly 6k.  So in three years through my 401k, I've made double the amount I've in one month through cryptocurrency investing and hodling. It's pretty clear to me where I'm going to be putting the majority of my income going forward.

Now, despite my successes thus far, my first foray into the cryptocurrency world bit me in the ass, and it bit hard.

Bitpetite

Perhaps some of you have heard of Bitpetite, and perhaps some of you have not. Well, Bitpetite was my first venture in Cryptocurrency investing, promising me a whopping 4.5% return on investment (ROI henceforth) per day. Sounds too good to be true right? Well, it was... eventually. I was initially interested in Bitpetite because of the wonderful ROI, but also because of the fact that they accepted currencies other than Bitcoin. I had intially bought roughly $2000 in Ethereum and Litecoin as I had initially thought that these currencies were a better deal than Bitcoin at the time. This is back in late October when Ethereum was sitting at a little under $300 and Litecoin was sitting at a pretty $54 according to  Coinbase.

At first, things were going great! I was seeing my hourly payouts and had racked in about $200 worth of Ethereum and Litecoin off of my $2000 initial investment. This lasted less than a week unfortunately before there was 'Unplanned server maintenance'. To this day, that unplanned server maintenance has evolved into a 404 http error upon loading Bitpetites home page... Needless to say, not the best start coming out almost two grand in the hole. This is where my luck started to turn however as my next investment (and still best to this day), is a true winner in my book.

Bitconnect

I'ts a Ponzi! It's a scam!

Hardly. Bitconnect, through all the FUD that continues to get spread, just simply gets the job done. With the volatility of Bitcoin being so high recently, Bitconnect users have been paid in interest handsomely. Very, very, handsomely. I started with an initial investment of a measly $130 around the same time that I had put over 10 times that amount in Bitpetite. Funnily enough, I was more certain at the time that Bitpetite was more solid and less of an exit scheme than I was about Bitconnect. Can't win 'em all right?

Well, as Bitpetite rode off into the sunset with the 2k that I had invested into it, I had continued to see very good profits in Bitconnect despite such a small deposit. With a bit of research, courage, and prayer (lets be honest here), I decided to go big into Bitconnect...

Five thousand and ten dollars. Holy shit.

My family thought I was crazy. My friends thought I was crazy. Hell, I thought I was crazy myself at times. I'd never put so much into something before. In retrospect, I should have been a bit less aggressive with this investment having just been bit by Bitpetite, but hey, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. Thank goodness for that too because since then, I've invested over another 5K to bring my current running total in Bitconnect up to $10,370 with a total ROI so far of $2867.93. So, in just under a months time, I've accumulated nearly 30% of my total investment to this point, and almost 60% of that monstrous 5K investment at the time. Not too bad I'd say :)

Total Invested: $10,370

Chain.Group

Chain.Group is an escrow service that pays out a percentage interest through independent trading companies. I currently use two trading companies, Dragon and X-Bots. Dragon Company has met their goal investing amount and will stop accepting new investments on the 20th of December, whereas X-bots is still going strong. I currently have $1077.80 invested in X-Bots and $128.25 in Dragon. Since Dragon has such a low entry point at $10 as opposed to X-bots $250 entry point, I will be reinvesting all of the interest that I make daily into Dragon up until the point that they stop accepting new investments. This will equate to roughly $35 being reinvested daily which will reap the benefits of compounded interest.

Genesis Mining

This is my newest investment into the crypto world and have not received any payouts yet. I was lucky enough to be able to get into Genesis with 5 TH of Bitcoin mining power during the recent presale, but this mining will not start until March 15th of this next year. I also just purchased 50 MH of Ethereum Mining a day ago which should start immediately , but I have yet to see any payouts.

I'll be trying to update this daily with any changes or new investments that I'm making.

If you're new or want to try any of the investments I'm doing, here's a list of links you can use to help both you and me :)
