Since some time we could hear infos of people who had accounts suspended or verification needing on Bittrex.
I have ALWAYS backed up this exchange, it was always awesome nor i had ever any issue with it.
Today they have put official info on the problems some people have, and it seems its just small number of people that had it.
Bittrex is my favorite place to trade and worth noting - first exchange to list STEEM also!

XLM had lately decent news and volume raised like crazy, NEO always rocked on Bittrex. Pretty much no surprises. Stuff i wouldnt touch/buy is AdToken, SALT and MCO. Rest looks fine!

This is not paid or anything this are just most interesting coins for today on Bittrex. They have such banner everyday rolling for people to notice whats hot.
If you follow my posts you know i have NEO, EXCL and XLM in high numbers as i believe they will raise. NXM i have always skipped because it has same name as one drug and ive expected they will get to copyright issues. Whats interesting is that both EXCL and NXM trade on decentralized Bitshares DEX - OpenLedger. Register there, its free and its the future how exchanges will work. STEEM there too of course.

I highly recommend everyone go to to https://bitshares.org/, download the wallet and start using the decentralized exchange. No one can freeze your account, hack your account, shut you down, seize your coins etc. Centralized exchanges are awful and you never know what they are going to do.
Added bonus - the Bitshares DEX user interface just got a major upgrade and it is awesome!
True.There will be more and more restrictions on exchanges with time,decentralized exchange is solution.I like Bitshares,but it has bugs,and lack of coins.Many popular coins don't exist there.If this wont change,Bitshares won't be solution to the problem.Ask yourself this:Why would i go on Bitshares,if i can't trade many popular coins there?Obvious answer will be: I won't go there.

I like that you will be able to buy "bits" of pegged centralized assets through bitGold, bitSilver, and bitOil.
This seems to be the first decentralized place to invest in highly centralized commodities. I hope that in the future bitShares will also incorporate other commodities.

I think DEX - decentralized exchange will be the future. Kyber, 0x...etc. and all those DEX will replace these centralize exchanges soon in the near future (probably 2018)

I've also been looking at SALT. I've pretty much decided to put $100 or so into it. They have a fantastic idea, and I expect others to copy their strategy. It is new, so there's no history there, but if you think about it, all of this is new. I know it could all possibly collapse tomorrow, but what I have invested wouldn't be life-changing to lose. If it does collapse, I would imagine it would have some outside 'help.' Like from the big banks, and governments.

Honestly, I haven't read that far into it. I think I saw that there is a minimum loan amount of $5,000, and to be honest, I don't have that much in Bitcoin and Etherum, combined, so I don't guess I'll be taking out any loans. I've mainly looked at their general business model. I do know that if the value of your digital asset drops below a certain point during the term of a loan, you're required to add more digital collateral to cover the loan, or pay the balance down in order to keep the loan/collateral in equilibrium, which is understandable.
I would think that there will be a lot of people that are making money on Bitcoin and Ethereum, that would want to borrow money based on their net gains, while still holding onto their cryptos. I ended up putting like $80 into SALT last night. I'm not exactly a big investor, as I'm older and don't make much money. I wish this stuff would have come along when I was 25 or 30!
Great post, on a somewhat sensible topic!! To be completely honest, I fear that the issues with exchanges banning users from different countries, and the blocking of peoples accounts has only just begun...
In my opinion, this is a way for regulators, and powerful people with their own agendas, to try and fight cryptocurrencies...Maybe some kind of regulation is actually needed in this area..could be nice to be able to hold the exchanges accountable for how they are managing peoples accounts!!! I really hope these issues ends well...even though I fear that the worst is still to come!
Good post Kingscrown, just came across a post on Cointelegraph from Bittrex a statement of reasurrence to it customers that is was .1%. but even that is enougth to get people worried and a friendly warning for sure. Glad I got a Ledger Nano :D
hell yeah! I got my nanoledger too and Im about to start REALy filling it up! But I also will keep my coins spread across multiple devices just in case, and also I realize the SAFEST place to keep your coins is on Steempower where it is time locked and no one can get to them without a power down first! So a hacker would need to stay in my account for 1 whole week just to get 1/13th of my steempower which wont happen since steemit's hacked account recovery process will allow me to get my account back within a day or two as long as I have my last private key that i would use even fi a hacker changes it... cant do that with Bitcoin! Another reason why Steemit is more advanced than Bitcoin! We have a network of witness nodes who can do things like that while Bitcoin doesn't have hacked wallet recovery procedures but maybe should i the future, who knows, I think steemits DPOS service is the best for storing large amounts of money safely! just keep your steemit keys safe and I recommend keeping them on a external solid state hard drive and only plugging them in when you have to use your wallet key, use use your Posting key when you're normally just using steemit to post and upvote... plug in the external hard drive to get your active key to send or receive payments and post....
See it took me a while but now I see it makes sense to just never keep your master password anywhere but offline, and have steemit logged in with your Active Key because the Active Key is all you need to make post, upvote, and to send steem or SBD and power down... but not to change the password! So someone can get this key and use it to empty your SBD and Steem, but they would need to wait 1 week to poer down any steempower and so you can get back in before rthen! BUT they wiold never be able to change your password and lock you ut! So only use the Active Key on your computer so if you get hacked someone canonly get THAt key and not the master one!
soon we will be able togety our Master or Posting keys onto a nano Ledger S and plug it in everytiem we want to make a transaction or something it will be cool for extra security!! They put ARK on sledger nano S and its DPOS like steemit is!

Doh : Corrected to Bitfinex. But the advice is solid at all crypto-exchanges. Because they will likely hold your funds and require all kinds of checks before you get it back due to it appearing your "trying to launder".

Good post people give bittrex way to hard of a time. I got my verification issue deal with in a single support ticket in less than 24 hours. Bittrex Bill is about the most legal minded person in the biz. So they do their due diligence when it comes to staying legal etc. I love the idea of decentralized exchanges but until they are more user friendly and have more coins Bittrex is my go to exchange.

Although bitcoin is surging at the moment, it has provided opportunity to get in on some altcoins at a serious discount. OMG is trading at $7.30 at the moment which is very good value. NEO is always a good buy, has a great long-term future and currently trading at $27 is a pretty good price

Bittrex needs some major upgrades. There charting system for one. Also not being able to put a stop loss and stop gain at the same time. I like bittrex but we need some improvements.

Thanks for your post, I hadn't seen that statement from Bittrex, only some posts about how they were closing accounts. The statement puts it into more perspective. It sounds as though they're just trying to be proactive on potential problems. Less than $0.1% of the accounts doesn't seem extreme.
