Tutorial on How to Mine BCC/BCH on ViaBTC (More Profitable than BTC)

in #bitcoin7 years ago

We all know of Bitcoin split chain into Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.
Now BTCC/BCH (however you prefer to call it) is more profitable to mine so if you own any SHA256 machines (or even not, but later about this) and want to mine, here's a tutorial.

Register to VIABTC

This was the first pool to mine BCC and still has most hashrate of known pools.

Just get on their page and register with email and password.

Go to BCC Pool

Since ViaBTC is also exchange and mines other things too, please move to BCC pool.
The direct link after registration is https://pool.viabtc.com/pool/bcc/home/
Here is stratum pool

Workers

Worker is your username ie kingscrown + you can modify it ie kingscrown.1 kingscrown.436346
You can also create worker groups if you have many machines or so.

Payout Options

You have 3 ways to mine PPS+ PLNS SOLO. Unless you have free electricity i suggest checking between PPS+ and PPLNS.

Rent Mining from HashNice

Dont have machines anymore (no dont use GPU, not worth it), support the cause and buy hashes from HashNice. Just register, deposit BTC and then you can mine any pool you want (even for other algos and currencies).

Current Markets

Korea is totally running the volumes but BTC pairs from BitFinex, Bittrex and HitBTC also look not bad. Currently top3 exchanges i use daily.

Wish I saw this 2 days ago, would have started mining! I heard there the difficulty is going up sometime soon that would make it 1/3 as profitable?

For what I understand from Jimmy Song, I recommend following him on Twitter, in about 3 or 4 days BCH will be less profitable that BCH to mine

Probably less than that. http://fork.lol/pow/retarget and http://fork.lol/ are useful resources.

this is very good.

In 1 to 2 days legacy Bitcoin may be impossible to transact with.

BCH took a bit of a hit. Looks like money is flowing into Monero right now.

is NiceHash profitable for mining? I've read somewhere that it is better option than cloud mining (Genesis Mining)

It is if you watch it and switch pools around. I dont use it anymore but when i did back in FEB 16 i turned 200$ worth of bitcoin mined neoscoin and sold said neos [unfortunately]with 1600 for a lottle over a bitcoin for an almost 300$ profit, sonetines i would send high hash for like a minute to a peercoin pool to get the most shares till it got solved but make sure i had the highest, pissed off alot of consistent miners there lol

100% better, since you mine for yourself

Are they safe to use? I'm kinda confused because lots of programs like that I see on the internet turn to scam after some time.

they been here since years and never had issues paying out

Nicehash or Hashnice?

That's what i thought lol

Yes, if you do it right, Nicehash can sometimes be profitable but it is not when mining consistently. It is a bit like arbitrage trading. I will do a review of the process here on Steen soon.

genesis and ssg miners top miners and ssg company running ssince 2008

Genesis is better and they pay daily. Also they are legit and with many happy customers

Receive %3 discount on all contracts https://www.genesis-mining.com/a/828390 with this discount code: y81Mc5

There's even a Dtube of a guys that was inside one of their datacenters in Iceland. Their operation looks great and growing.

My only complain is that they dont have the lifetime contracts anymore.

@kingscrown Good info. Thanks for sharing.

yes good info ................ I am always read ............

It is so helpful...but i have to learn more how to do that n i need a tutor

Thank you very much for this. The more I'm learning it seems BCH might indeed be the coin to hold.

Sweet!

will check it out and act accordingly, thanks a lot. Do they have huge transaction costs like Genesis?
Upped .
Feel free to see my post on steemit and send in your thoughts , I wish you more success.

Great idea. What is the minimum profitable hashrate a newbie can buy in hashnice?

Those were the days! I loved it when mining was profitable and you could play around with gpu cards, pools, miners etc etc. It wo t be long before BCH is no longer profitable to mine unless on an industrial scale also

Greate post!

Thank you

I will try it out

Just keep in mind that in around 30 hours the profitability will drop... by around 80%. The difficulty will be 5 times higher than now.

I am fascinated with mining for coins (especially bitcoin) and wondering if it can be done with laptop computers. Any advice for a newcomer to mining? I enjoyed reading your post, btw.

You can use your laptop, however I wouldnt recommend it. Not enough power to say it's worth to use it for mining

Reading crypto related articles still make me feel like I'm a shallow mind but with your help I will be trademaster3000 soon Thanks !

meep

Very cool tips. That's a good tutorial. I'm going to eventually get into BCC :-)

I am quite interested in your suggestion of mining BCC after reading your article. Meanwhile, may I ask someone who are doing such thing with NxxeHxxh to suggested the recommended price and expected payout for our reference. Sorry for questioning as I am just a small investor can not afford plenty of trying. :):)

Really wish i had a computer or setup that could mine.

Very good knowledge in articale about mining

NiceHash seems interesting. I will check out their site and reviews. What is their difference between other mining sites (i.e. Genesis)?

And what would be the most profitable coin (aside from btc) to mine?

Well at least now I don't feel so dumb anymore when people are talking about mining ..

Soon enough I'll be trading with the big boys

Great info. Thanks for sharing.

If you are considering getting into mining I suggest your reconsider and buy tokens on the market instead. I explained why in this post.
