Hello dear steemians, @oghie here.

No doubts, ever since steemit came into existence, it has been taking over the world with storm.

As we all know, users get paid here on steemit when another steemian upvotes his/her content, commenting on others post and as well as public discussions in various communities. All the same, there are different ways to participate and get paid. Around July 4th an estimated number of 1.3million was distributed to users And since then, it has never stopped distributing payouts to it's users who post on the site. History was made on the 7/23/2016, the largest payment till date was made in one post, an estimated number of $44,528.85 worth of steem dollars, and when the post is due for payouts it splits into two, one for ''steem'' and the other for ''steem power'' For more info about steemit, steem power, and steem dollars, do visit their site https://steem.io/.

With the vast growth here on the steem block chain, lots of people are wondering how to invest in steem,so they can get into business. Below are some easy ways to invest in steem

There are various site out there that allows you buy bitcoins. This is the popular site that people use mostly https://www.coinbase.com. Quickly open an account if you don't have one, although it may take some couple of days before verification, but trust me, it's worth the wait.

  • Decipher how much you are willing to invest
First rule before going into any investment is to determine the amount you're willing to invest. Steemit has some upside potentials, and also there are risks attached. It's not a wise idea to invest more than you would be if the price were to go very low.

  • You'll have to choose if it's steem or steempower you're planning to invest on.
Generally, stteem is considered to be a short-term investment. Steem can be seen as a liquid asset, it can also be exchanged for bitcoin, and asso can be sold for cash/USD.

Steem power on the other hand is considered to be a long-term investment. Steem power requires a long-term dedication of 2 years. If after that, then you decide to cash out your ''steem power'' (S.P). It is automatically paid in 104 equal weekly payment. On the other hand, purchasing s.p gives and increase voting. You can browse through more information here on their website at white paper. Below are images of how to power down and also buy steem power.

Login your steemit.com and go to your wallet

  • Click on the ''dropdown'' after the ''steem'' or ''steem power'' and then click on deposit.

  • The next thing you'll see is a pop up from another new tab indicating a ''wallet address'' close to the bottom. The address is in long series of numbers and letters clearly written where they wrote ''Send Bitcoin to''. You simply copy to the clipboard. Note: It is very crucial that you copy the whole address exactly without missing an alphabet or number.

  • Having done that, you go to the site you used in purchasing the bitcoins, you'll see a space where it lets you send bitcoins to an address. You simply enter the wallet that you copied from the clipboard earlier onas well as the amount you would like to send and after that you click "Send" and immediately you will be asked to confirm transactions. After that a message will pop up, showing you success of the transaction.

  • After that, you will need to exercise a little patient and wait for the Bitcoin to confirm on the network, this can take some minutes or hours, from time to time you'll need to refresh. Once the transaction is confirmed, it will pop up in you steemit wallet as shown below.
