I use to have the same issue with my family reunions the people who were planning them would announce it 2 or 3 weeks before hand. Making it to where not many showed up. Then I took over 5 years ago the planning and got the date up a year in advance 4 times as many people showed up. It sucks to have to wait for a line up to be able to announce. So I feel for ya. Are they around the same time each year? If so maybe I can start planning for next years now and then lock down the date when they make an announcement on the date.
