BitShares DAC currently holds 1bn BTS =~$300m at the moment - in reserve, used for paying Witnesses and Workers (Development).

No it supports Bitcoin like businesses and commerce support Fiat currency.

I'm not a developer but the fact that you are looking and have those types of reserves tells me Bitshares is here for the long term :)

That's a nice budget if I ever saw one. I always felt BTS is going places and now I'm even more convinced.
