In all my year of writing reviews about new blockchain based platform i haven't come across any platform that will use blockchain to decentralize their stock photography industry although I have seen blockchain being used different areas but trust me and the facts you will see this area is an untapped area even for blockchain. It may have being used in similar areas like this but never in this area and never in this way .
The stock photography industry is a big industry today and it has created many big companies such as Shutter stock and getty images.
To be honest the name of the industry isn't famliar to most people manly because the name of the industry has been over powered by the top players of the industry with names such as shutters stock and getty so if you can't relate to what stock photography industry is I am sure you can relate with these companies.
The purpose of this companies is to serve as the middle men between this photographers and consumers the companies takes large amount of the photographers rights and even the 85%of of the photographers gain on each photograph.
The consumers lack a medium to directly contact the photographers directly so we tend to go to companies which the photos are uploaded to, we then download this photos .
This may seem like a simple working system that will help both sides (consumers and photographers) but in truth what is happening is very unfair to both sides because for the photographers they lose all the rights to their photos and for the consumers we have to pay a higher fee to access this photos so you see this system is unfair to both sides .
That's why a group of people have come together to change the system by using the blockchain to create wemark.
Wemark is a blockchain based platform that will decentralize the stock photography industry allowing the photographers and the consumers to communicate directly and make all their transactions directory without contacting any of the middle men.
Wemark platform will use smart contract to connect the both parties by doing this they will create a balanced ecosystem for all users.
Like i stated earlier this is a new frontier for blockchain and I believe It is the right area for blockchain.
The platform will hold an ICO for all interested participants.
