How should supposedly dominant blockchain based social networks affect online advertising industry in future?

When I first heard the special things about the concept of steemit where people find no advertisement on each content and they will get the earnings based on the popularity of their content, I thought of how the advertising industry will be shaped if this type of social network becomes mainstream.

Just assume that 10 or more years later facebook or youtube would be only the names of the past like the one prior to them (yahoo 360). steemit, dtube, or some other social media network chanels evolve and rise up to replace the currently dominant ones, more and more users flock to them; then, it's really interesting to see how the online advertisements approach their potential customers.

What are the ways for advertisers to approach their potential customers? For me, there are only two ways to approach their customers: 1. build their own page to attract the followers (potential customers); or 2. ask the influencers with huge follower number to put (resteem) or make advertising content on their page for them. This will be really tough to the advertisers because the advertising content should be meaningful, useful, helpful and interesting to attract the users.

For the first option, it will take a lot of time to build the popularity with constant update of super quality content, but it's good for the long term business. This will lead to many services like content writing, content managing, follower caring, online event and promotion planning.

For the second option, it will save a lot of time in the short term, but not effective in the long run. This approach will lead to some services like advertising agencies with huge number of followers making and placing contents on their sites for clients, or brokers for bidding content advertised on popular blog sites including popular individuals, organizations or advertising agencies.

If the blockchain based social network evolve in this direction, the potential for advertising market is immense but challenging; the earning opportunities will be shared evenly. For me in this phase, I will learn as much as I can and share what I learn to the full extent on this platform to prepare for the unknown things in the future.
