Nifty Island just held their token generation event (TGE) today (December 17th, 2024), launching their ISLAND token and opening up their official play to earn system!
The play to airdrop phase for Nifty Island is over, but the play and earn phase has just begun! From here on out, you won’t need to wait for an airdrop. Collect Blooms by playing, building, and participating, earn ISLAND tokens, and claim your tokens every 10 days.

Claims are made on the ETH chain and can be staked directly to begin earning staking benefits.
How to earn ISLAND Tokens
But now that the airdrop phase is over, it’s time to start earning ISLAND tokens on a more regular basis. And the basic are pretty simple. Earn Blooms, earn ISLAND.
How to Earn Bloom
Nifty Island still uses the Bloom system to calculate rewards. You can earn Blooms (and ISLAND), just by visiting different islands and picking up the Blooms that are laying around! But playing games and completing tasks and quests are where the real earnings are at. Though, if you can make your island a popular destination, then there is create and earn potential as well!
Blooms can be earned in the following ways:
- Daily Challenges
- Playing Games
- Players visiting your island (5 blooms per unique daily visit)
- Players spending time on your island (0.25 blooms per minute)
- Players collecting bloom pickups on your island (1 bloom per pickup)
- Players earning blooms from games on your island (1 bloom per 25 base blooms)
- Refer players to another island (20% of island owner foot traffic)
- Bloom Pickups
- Quests
- Earnings from events & other sources
The best part of earning Blooms is that you get to double-dip. Not only do you get a share of the ISLAND tokens based on number of Blooms earned, but then you can also spend those same Blooms on purchasing NFT rewards and in the Bloom Gacha (5000 Blooms per spin), which offers opportunities to win NFTs, ISLAND tokens, and other prizes from an ever-changing selection.

The maximum amount of ISLAND one player can earn in a cycle (which run in fixed increments of 10 days) is capped at 100. Though that cap is increased for every Legendary Palm NFT owned.
Base earning rate is 1 ISLAND per 1000 Blooms. Earning rate is increased based on amount of ISLAND tokens staked.
You can check your earning status through a handy-dandy ISLANDS Reward Dashboard. Here players can stake their tokens, view their earning statistics, and claim any available rewards. The Rewards Dashboard is pretty informative and displays the amount of blooms you've earned, your upcoming ISLAND payout, and information about any additional rewards.
ISLAND payouts are added to the claimable amount every 10 days. ISLAND claimed through the play and earn program is delivered on the Base chain.
ISLAND use cases
ISLAND is the primary token for the Nifty Island ecosystem and comes with several potential use-cases.
ISLAND can be staked on either ETH or Base across any wallets connected to your Nifty Island account. By staking your ISLAND tokens, you increase your earning rate. A higher earning rate means that every Bloom you earn will convert to more ISLAND tokens.
Additionally, ISLAND stakers will receive periodic gifts of consumable items, opportunities to participate in special prize drawings and contests, and have the ability to create larger islands, add more games, and layer on even more personal customization such as weather and even your own soundtrack.
Nifty Island also plans to introduce player governance, which will be controlled by the token stakers. ISLAND is already available across a wide variety of both centralized and decentralized exchanges.
