Looking for blockchain and corporate IT stories

in #blockchain7 years ago

Hi Folks,

I could use some help. I am preparing to make a presentation to a roomful of business/IT people regarding the virtues of the blockchain and how adoption of the technology will be an advantage. The challenge is that this is happening the morning of May 16, and just this evening did I learn of this new subject matter. Prior to this I was anticipating a more general topic.

So now I'm looking to cover, in about 10 minutes, issues and benefits of adding blockchain to the IT suite. I would like to focus on 3 or 4 primary topics, trends or use cases. Given my short lead time, I am looking for any sort of suggestion, hint, pointer or anecdote to help me craft an effective presentation.

Do you work in, or manage an IT department big or small? Do you have experience integrating blockchain of any ilk into your environment? Do you have any stories you don't mind sharing?

BTW, this is the event where I'll be presenting:

Thank you all,
Phil

Hi, Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm glad and I hope you got some lil infos there.....

I'm tweaking my presentation a bit to focus more on the decision points IT folk need to evaluate when planning to incorporate blockchain of some fashion into their environment. So now I'm thinking less about specific use cases and more about generalities.

The references you gave certainly provide some broadening of my pespective on the usefulness of blockchain!

Following your post..

I'm sorry I just now saw this and it looks like the presentation is today, but check out a project called Taqanu I posted about where my friend is working on a blockchain solution to help refugees:

How did the presentation go?

Hi, thank you, I'll check out your link in a little while. The event went well, thanks for asking. It was a full house and I'm not very adept at public speaking but I survived!
