Perhaps governments are partially excited and partially nervous? In many senses, it is the central banks that are more likely to be nervous because if whole markets move over to cryptocurrency, then it could render FIAT currencies irrelevant. Central banks essentially run the show but if no one is trading in the currencies they print then that's a massive change and suddenly governments are deploying cryptocurrencies that actually have a degree of value due to their finite supply!? These are my general thoughts but it's a fascinating thing that is going on! Thanks for the article!
