Yesterday I was amongst the few people who attended the Blockchain conclave @ ITC Gardenia, Bengaluru. It was a followed event to the hackathon that was conducted previously in the last month by Karnataka state government http://www.bengalurutechsummit.com/blockchain-hackathon/ in order to explore Blockchain and use it in real time governance. They gave call to all developers to come up with prototypes. Few models have been selected then and coming back to yesterday's event, it comprised of several dignitaries & panelists, few of them to name includes Priyank Kharge (State IT Minister), Gaurav Gupta I.A.S( Principal Secretary State), Dilip Kumar (M.D @ SAP labs), Nithin Sharma (founder @ Incrypt Blockchain), Sudin (Innovation Head @ State Bank of India), Benson Samuel (CTO @ Coin Secure Exchange), Marloes Pomp (Program officer Blockchain @ Dutch Govt.), Saqr Ereiqat (Blockchain Evangelist @ IBM Dubai). The main reason behind event is to explore it's vast scope for adoption in various fields. https://www.thenewsminute.com/article/karnatakas-tech-push-governance-and-service-delivery-holds-blockchain-conclave-76535 Everyone shared their insights and concerns in relative to every sector and how the secured hash/nodes and decentralized systems can impact existing ecosystems. There was also concerns about crypto currencies and the relative things that would happen in between Fiat currencies and crypto assets. It's happy to see few startups come forward, and stay at par in adopting the technological changes happening globally. Concept given by a Start-up Bitgram, which addressed data security of civil identities and various other applications was awarded first along with few other concepts being validated. One year old startup, Bitgram, tops blockchain hackathon

I heard concerns of banking, agriculture, medicine, engineering sectors about scalability, security and speed which could be addressed with Blockchain alone. As one of our panelists said, i want to end this topic remembering what Arthur C Clarke said, images_1518749956228.jpeg
