Under maintenance just means it's not responding to queries from our system.
In this case, the hard disk filled up unexpectedly on the system running our ETH wallet (not sure why, but it's not the first time we've seen one of our ETH wallets act a bit strangely). It's fixed now and we've added more disk space to avoid the issue in the future.
