A Blog a Day Keeps The Writer's Block Away

in #blog2 years ago (edited)

So I suppose this is my first official 'blog' post on Hive. Hello, and welcome!

Although I've been posting things no Splintertalk for a couple of months now, I had not yet explored all that Hive Engine and the Hive blog has to offer. So much amazing content here, I've been binging through as much as I can.

I'll probably do a fuller write up on it in the near future, but I am thoroughly impressed with the Hive blockchain and ecosystem. Although I had heard about it years ago, my first introduction was Splinterlands and as I've gone deeper down the rabbit hole, I'm discovering there is so much more than meets the eye.

Not to disrespect other blockchains as there are so many cool projects in the space, but Hive seems somewhat unique in how it operates and rewards those who invest in it - both with their time and money. As a creator myself, this blog is such a great way to reward those who do just that.

But getting back to the point of this post specifically:

I remember hearing a podcast interview with Seth Godin - a phenomenal writer and marketer - awhile back talking about how everyone should write, and more specifically blog, every single day. I've always wanted to do that but never found the consistency or the platform. I feel like the timing is right at this moment though, and motivation and inspiration have struck perfectly with the discovery of a blogging platform that I am a fan of and contributor to.

So here goes to putting this out publicly, to hold myself accountable. I can't promise I will get on here every single day, but good habits need to be formed in a disciplined manner so I will do the best I can. Consistency is key and I've noticed how things tend to snowball when you can just keep compounding all of your effort.

Excited to be a part of the community and looking forward to connecting with many of you through here!
