Today I want to discuss my reasons for choosing this GPS fitness tracker as my edc watch.
I've always worn watches everyday. Usually they are pretty inexpensive and just give me the time. The one I've been wearing finally stopped working and I needed to get something else.
But first let me tell you about my other watch...
For a birthday present my Dad gave me a pretty awesome Belair watch.
I really love this watch. It is a diver's watch which means I have no concerns about getting it in water. The watch gives the time and date which is all I need. It's got a genuine sapphire crystal face. Also the band is made from surgical stainless steel. I think you get the picture. For me this is a very nice watch, but I don't want to wear it around the farm and get it all beat up.
So...I started looking for something that I could wear everyday around the homestead. At first I was just going to get something really cheap like I would normally get. Instead I opted for a fitness tracker.
My main reason for this is because I am getting into doing more running.
I thought it would be a could idea to get some type of fitness watch to keep me motivated and on track. I chose the Garmin over other trackers, mainly because of its great battery life. It can function like a regular watch until I want to run. Then I just turn the GPS on and it will accurately track me.
Other options that I looked at like the Apple Watch do a whole lot more, but they are very expensive and have very poor batter life. I already have to charge my phone everyday. I don't feel like having to do the same with a watch. My Garmin will generally last me a week. This is perfect since I usually switch to my nicer Belair over the weekend. It only takes about 30-40 minutes to charge up.
Overall the Garmin Vivoactive HR has been a great watch for me so far. I love that I can track runs and hikes without having to use my phone.
Check out my overview of this watch in this video:
Devices like this are perfect for tracking and recording accurate data. Minus the calories burned aspect of it.
Great video as well keep up the work!
Yes they are! Really love using it. Thank you!
