I have been away for a while. My life has been a bit random as of late, facing lots of unexpected problems and what not. This has caused the development of Galactic 123 to slow down to a crawl. Seems that these days I always have to "stop fires", figuratively speaking. I have largely delegated my Steemit activity to the Minnow Booster project.
Until recently, I had an Apple Macbook Air computer, and it worked, mostly without much trouble, for the better part of two years. One night I was online reading various blogs and such, and when I felt sleepy, I just shut it down and went to sleep. That was it. The next day, when I tried to use the computer, it would not turn on. I went on to try with a different charger, nothing. I tried to reset the SMC, no good either. Finally, I took it to an Apple store to see if I could get it repaired. Turns out, pretty much the motherboard got burned. They told me they could repair it, but when they told me the price, it turns out I could just buy a brand new computer with that. Many Apple fans kept telling me over the years that Apple was more reliable than PC computers. Well, so much for that, I guess...
