My first writing feedback - happy:)

in #blog20 days ago

Hi, guys!

Yesterday we had a very blurry school day, because it rained all day and I had a terrible headache, so out of the total time allotted for studying, I only managed to study for a few hours. Then in the evening I had a lecture, and before it our curator sent us feedback on our first novel.

Mine was very traumatic, it was very difficult for me. I wrote about my best friend's suicide attempt, it happened a long time ago, but it's one of those situations that never stops hurting. But still, I’m trying to recover, and when I wrote about this, it became a little easier for me. I thought that the review would be more harsh, but our curator, writer Lyubko Deresh, did everything very delicately and as correctly as possible.

He has another writing course that lasts one year. At first I thought that this was too much and one course would be enough for me, but now I think that I really want to get into it, and most likely I will try to save up money for it. It's quite expensive, but I think it's worth it. For now, my studies should end at the end of the summer, then I will have to wait some more time before a new intake is announced, and I can use all this time to save money for education.

Today I have a plan to read and annotate another book on writing, and by the way, it’s quite interesting. I read them a lot because they are all written from different perspectives, and this particular one is written from the perspective of research about the functioning of the brain and explains why we like to listen to stories so much and how to make a story more interesting specifically for the brain :)

Congratulations on the feedback. You are already ahead, in that you are reading about writing and then applying what you have learnt. I also love to read about writing, but currently I am just consuming without any implementation :(

spoiled and lazy one for sure

Not lazy, but completely spoiled:)
