Time for a Fresh Start

Thank you for the wake-up call. I needed it. I've been slumbering. Sleepwalking for about a year now. Not able to take life or by extension myself seriously anymore. I had lost self-respect. Coasting by, doing the bare minimum. With only sparse random sparks of inspiration and pleasure of planting random things, or brewing some wine.

Isn't losing respect for oneself the worst..? I mean, where do you go from there? The pathetic loser of your own story. Pointless.

It's time to flip the script and begin again. To build that self-respect back up one small win at a time. No one said it's going to be easy, but doing the hard things is going to build that muscle.

If the world is fucked up it doesn't mean we have to get ourselves to the same level. There's always a reason, a story that begs to be told. Each one of us is one such story and no one else gets to live our life for us. So what is it going to be?

What tiny steps are you taking today back to your true self? Only you can answer that. Only you can take responsibility for your choices and the consequences of those choices.

For me, it starts with owning up to the fact that my work ethic has taken a complete nosedive and then actually doing something about it. It starts with not sleeping in leaving just a half-hour to 'drag' myself over to the PC. It starts with figuring out, how I can get some exercises in so that my muscles do not atrophy even more.

Sure it won't be a walk in a park, but you have to start somewhere, or the trajectory will just carry you to wherever it'll carry you..

The responsibility to earn back my own respect is mine.
No one can do it for me.
