Achievment Unlocked (PhD)!

in #bloglast year (edited)
Hello Again!

I've been pretty busy in the last couple of years doing some space-stuff research - some of it you already had opportunity to read on through my blog. During the most intense stage of my PhD candidature (about last 16 months) I've been pretty much absent from all heavy time-consuming projects and hobbies.

Anyways, with PhD completed, the true challenge only begins - I'm searching my place under the sky now and weighing my options in the scientific field and future steps for my research/teaching career. The field is very competitive, and I'll give it a try searching for a perfect PostDoc or permanent position in Academia in the next year, if it fails - there are plenty of other opportunities and jobs that would appreciate my skills.

With that said, I plan to be significantly more active here, which is going to be easy, since I wrote only 3-5 posts in the last 2 year - mostly about staying alive and witness (Hard Fork) updates.

Anyways to finish it of, during my absence James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) was finally launched. Amazing spacecraft with insane instruments that is going to revolutionize our understanding of the early universe and bring many incredible images like the ones below. You can read more about JWST and it's early results on this link.

##### Short re-introduction.

If this is your first time reading my posts, Hello, I am Svemirac! I've been on the platform since 2017, and this is my fifth year operating @crowdwitness node. I also make sure @curie witness node is running smooth!

When I have time I like to write about astronomy, space and science, post some photos, usually from nature or kitchen. Since I've been baking a lots of breads in the last 3-4 years I might actually start writing a series of posts regarding breads and science of dough (if anyone is interest to read about it anyways :) ).

All the best and stay safe!
