Progress

We are all, well the majority of us, on some kind of social media. Most of the time, it's fun, you can learn some things, maybe meet interesting people, earn money.

There are so many different apps these days, especially used now when we are in some kind of quarantine and we live mostly on-line. It helps us pass the time, sometimes too much time. But there is the other, more worrying side of it.

When you scroll, absentminded, through some photos, posts, actually life of another person, it often looks amazing, right? It's almost like they have it all. For example, big and clean house, nice cars, smiling significant other etc. That's all great, I for one love to see other people being happy and fulfilled. On the days when I feel good about my life, I can celebrate others as well.

But what to do on those "not so good" days?

Let's face it, we have great days and not so great ones. Sometimes I feel like I an an amazing mother, I have time to do some work, read a book, take a walk. On the other hand, some days it looks like I can't manage to do one (or none) thing right. On those days, when I stumble upon someones amazing life on line, I feel even worse about mine. I still love the fact that someone has a lovely time, but I would feel like a failure. That's a strong word, maybe less accomplished is better.

Progress

One part of your life can be perfect for a moment, for example you have an amazing job, but the other part is not so perfect, you are single. That is usually the time when you see someones annoyingly good anniversary photo. But it's fine, you are still doing great.

Even when it looks like someone has it ALL you have to remember, that success in one field is still success and progress. Even if it's not your entire life, it still counts. The other thing to remind yourself is that most people post only positive and good life events and photos.

You don't see a lot of dirty dishes, makeup free faces, crying babies etc but it's all part of real life. That's what makes it interesting!

Next time use those photos as inspiration, to feel better, to do better and most importantly as a reminder that you already have so much to be grateful for!

With love,
Tamara

Real-life is by no means glitz and glamour that's for sure even in the business world many people think its all fancy meetings and talking money but its a lot of grinding

Right!? But sometimes you need a reminder that you are doing the right thing!
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment!

Yes I agree, in a world of so much fakery and lies, it's easy to think you're doing something wrong
