Holidays long gone

in #blog5 years ago

Hello everyone, I am back after a long, unwanted abscence and I've come to wish you a very much delayed merry christmas and a happy new year! May all your wishes come true.
This little fragment of holiday cheer is left in my house:

It's old and runs on electricity (not tea as you might have expected!) It has been lighting up that part of my house since december the 1st and it's still there waiting to be put away, you might think, "well put it away!" But my magic's too weak and I'm too lazy to do it just now.
The lights of my little christmas feature still twinkle, as if they were reminding me of the me of the gone christmases of my golden childhood, Santa Claus would arrive with wonderful presents and my family and relatives were there with food and games and all was good.
But a few years after that Santa Claus stopped leaving presents under my christmas tree, perhaps he decided that I was too old, too grey and too bitter, my family and my relatives suddenly became annoying and these "family gatherings" became an odious affair so I lost myself in beautiful music from my mp3 player, yes you guessed it, I was possessed by teenaged angst.
Those gatherings then stopped all together, my relatives and my friends left, they went away and I stayed here, since then things changed, I was never the biggest christmas fan, but now, they are just another day, its decorations meaningless, there's nothing new, no gatherings, no Santa Claus and well, no fun.
Perhaps if my tea magic were stronger things would be different, but it isn't, things are how they are, so I have to stay strong, and I will! We will all stay strong and tall and a time will come where everything will be fine.
Who makes a holiday post after the holidays? Your friend teatimemagic of course!
I hope you had a magically tea-licious reading time.
