I've always been curious about exactly how a single supervolcano could wipe us all out.

Barring the people in its immediate vicinity who die because of lava, earthquakes and toxic gases, do you think that think climate change would be enough to wipe us out?

I understand that the current ecosystem would be destabilized to a point that life becomes hard for survivors but I would think that humanity's uncanny ability to adapt would kick in.
