RE: #BonsaiNews: Pinus pinaster (maritime pine) make for surprisingly beautiful bonsai

I just didn't know if it was your profession and I called it a 'hobby' :) so this is why I said that I hope I wouldn't offend you. A journalist? That is a great profession! When I was a child I wanted to become a journalist. Well, the things turned differently for me :)

Wouldn't trade my day job for anything on the planet. What is your profession if you don't mind me asking?

I used to work in corporate finance for 9 years. I quit my job in April this year to pursue what I really wanted to do.. and started to travel to enjoy my time before I start working on my big project for next year. BUT the details will be released towards end of this year ;)

Corporate Finance - that's a quick way to an early grave. As long as you are doing what makes you happy then that is all that really matters. I'm heading off to New York next year for an entire month and all I can think of is how I'm going to be rolling around in the snow. I've never seen snow before despite us actually getting snow in certain parts of South Africa. I should probably start thinking less about the snow and more about what kind of jackets I should be getting. Apparently winters are really cold in NY (Long Island). Looking forward to reading about your BIG PROJECT.

Nooo, it was not that bad! :) I actually had a great job. I was working with people from all over the world and I learned a lot. It was kind of a special corporate position that included a lots of travel too :) BUT I decided that I want to start building my own dream instead of working on somebody else ones..

Really? You will either hate it or love it :) It's going to be cold! But snow is beautiful and makes everything look like a fairy tale :) You should definitely get a winter jacket and good boots! :)
