Half a degree

An apology

It was a long time since I last wrote something on this platform. You have my sincerest apology for being away from Hive for this long. I really missed you guys and I am very eager to be active once again!

This semester was quite demanding as I had four languages, two of which were completely new. I had the usual English and Afrikaans, and then the other two were Dutch and Sepedi. I suppose it is expected when you study languages ;)

I want to share my journey with you and what it took to have come halfway.
In my first year I had a lot of subjects. I had Afrikaans, English, Criminology, Psychology and an Advanced Computer Literacy subject. All the listed subjects were year modules. On top of that I had another English Language subject in the first semester and the second semester Sociology.

Second year, first semester, on top of the four languages, I had Psychology as well. It was really a tough semester and also the reason I had a brief hiatus from Hive. My first priority is my studies, my music and my relationships. Because of these priorities being first, I have flourished in them all, especially my studies. I received an invite to join a honour society known as the Golden Key. With the dedication of making my dream come true to get my degree in languages, I have been blessed with this achievement.

Read away

If you do a degree in languages, prepare yourself because you are going to read to an unimaginable extent. Novels, plays, poetry and short stories. My literature knowledge has grown at an extreme rate and I love every moment. Knowledge is indeed power and books are one of my other lovers (@fermentedphil do not get jealous, you know that you are on top). I would like to share with you the books I have read so far as tribute and celebration of having having half a degree.
