So you wrote a book, time to publish!

Greetings Friends!

So, you wrote a book and you're done. It is sitting on your computer taking up ram and you feel accomplished, not everyone has the patience or fortitude to write a book. Sure it's not a literary masterpiece, but you really enjoyed writing it so why not let it out there for the world to see?

The days of sending your manuscript to a million different publishing houses are over, nowadays it's all done online. Which, to be honest, was a real lifesaver. It made the process for me hassle-free. Way back when we were still on the Steem blockchain I participated in @freewritehouse march madness challenge to write a book and boy was it intense, let me tell you. 1,500 words a day, right when the weather was getting nice outside. But the badger never backs down from a challenge and I cranked out a short novel within a month. Again, no literary masterpiece but I had a blast and learned so much.

About a year later I went back in, read through the whole thing, edited it, redid a ton of garbage, and even changed the ending. Still, not a New York Times bestseller, but hey! I enjoyed it and I knew I wanted to publish it. I just didn't know how. I also knew that it still had some errors, and if I wanted to publish I needed someone professional to look at it.

I went digging around on fiver and found a great editor KEVIN100PERCENT.

I sent him a copy of my manuscript (58,000 words) and he agreed to edit it for roughly $850.00 and surprisingly he finished it in about two and a half weeks! Pretty impressive. He communicated with me the whole time and offered his insight as well as asked for mine. It was a good experience.

At the time of editing, I found a guy to do my book cover on fiver. Let's face it, people judge a book by its cover and I wanted mine to stand out. I found rock_0407 and he offered to do my cover for $100.00. I told him exactly what I wanted and bam 5 days later completed the cover, which I am extremely happy with.

Once I had everything all ready to go, it was time to finally publish! The only way I would suggest doing that is through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. It's free, has huge amounts of traffic, offers ad campaigns to buy, will print your book for you, you can buy author copies to sell yourself for a couple of bucks! It's really pretty awesome.

It's super easy to publish your manuscript, just fill out a form, and it's ready to go! It takes a day or two to get approved by the system, but you pick a price add some info and you're all set!

So far I have sold two paperback copies in the few days I have had my book out (both to my brother), but I am not worried about the sales, I am just happy to have accomplished this in my life, finally! And you can too!

If you would like to get a copy of my book please check it out Nine Worlds. I would really appreciate any feedback and would be grateful for your amazon review.

Also, if you have any questions regarding the publishing process please ask! I would be happy to help
