In spite of the traditional historical and above archaeological thinking and imagery, the Magura Cave, and all its drawings, bring a great number of riddles and questions that make you wonder where we were wrong.

Local legends about the cave

Around the summer of 1870, after a 30-year study of folklore around Northwestern Bulgaria, the book "Bulgarian Ethnography" was published, and local legends from the settlements around Magura were also recorded. According to legends, the cave and the lake beside it are bottomless and interconnected, and in their depths lived mythical beings with unimaginable knowledge and abilities. Interestingly, the cave and the lake are actually connected with each other, which we are only learning about recently. At least one river flowing beneath the cave floor flows into the lake. The question here is how did they know? And the extra question is: If they were right about these two things, are not they right and about the third one - that in the debts lived strange inhabitants?

Houses in the cave

In the cave are found settlements of prehistory people, with several of the settlements having their own houses built inside. Wait a minute, did people not live in the caves because they were primitive and could not build houses?
The passage to the Gallery of Drawings

It was difficult to draw on the drawings themselves. Only there are no animal bones found while in the rest of the cave - yes. And now the corridor entering the gallery is narrow and sometimes narrow. In the development of the cave it is extended so that one can go straight.

The Gallery

The selected painting gallery is the only dry one in the whole cave, and there are no signs of ruin or earthquake destruction on its walls. This gallery is deliberately chosen to ensure the eternal existence of the drawings.

Helio-centric model of the solar system

While the Greeks still walked on flat land or even thousands of years before, in Magura they depicted the Earth circling around the Sun, recording that this tour was divided into four parts, each part of which included three moon moons.

This is not enough, but the symbol of the Earth during the winter solstice is depicted closest to the sun, and that of the summer solstice - the furthest, which corresponds to the astronomical truth.
