RE: Burn post

in #burn17 days ago

I want to be able to better track how much Hive I burn. By using @buildawhale I would need to subtract others upvotes to figure it out. Hopefully people will not be upvoting my burn comments so its easy for me to calculate.

If I do not like how its going I will just go back to upvoting your burn posts.

The burn posts in general are unsightly, and that's why I reduced them to one daily and then comments. Having everyone making their own will just make the place look worse than it is now. Especially if they hit trending.

It's pretty easy to figure out your amount of burn if you wanted to without creating posts. You also know your vote amount so it's easy to calculate even without looking at the chain.

At least the log looks happy in my cover image, so its not as ugly as it could be :-)

My plan is to only make a single burn post, this one. And then add burn comments whenever I need to bleed off some VP.

By doing my own burn comments I can just sum up the comment reward numbers, copying them into a spread sheet.

I would have to click on each of the @buildawhale comments to figure it out otherwise. It would add a few minutes, but if I can save some time doing spreadsheet work its always nice.

I don’t see how that’s easier but hey what’s more bloat when we got blipcorn spamming hundreds a day.

Why do you create new posts daily instead of just adding new comments to old posts? No one will notice that.

Unless I am missing something.. like can you not make burn comments on old posts? If that is the case I see the problem and I wont make more.

The new post is so people don’t need to dig up the comments. For those manually voting.
