Dear entrepreneur, start where you are.

in #business4 years ago

It can be easy to become overwhelmed by the nerves of starting a new venture. I think that in a way, all of us want to get rich. I'll rephrase that, all of us want to make a living and the easier, the better. That is just how it is. We want the most reward for the minimum effort. I do not like to focus on the idea of becoming rich. I think that is it important to be resource-full. Yes, we can accumulate wealth, but cash is useless unless it is put to work. It is better to focus on Cash-Flow.

When an opportunity to profit presents itself in our life, there may be concerns and doubts. If you are business owner, you may be very familiar with this uncertain feeling. Will it work out? Will I lose resources? What if I am not ready? So many uncertainties can come to mind.

In my case, I experienced this feeling this week. I took a chance on a business opportunity at hand. i was feeling stuck, and just went for what is at hand.

There is a waterfront on one end. Which makes it very calming.

In summary, I've been looking for ways to get into commercial property management. It's a niche that I have identified and I think has much potential. I have been looking for opportunities IN to this industry. In the meantime, I am working on the "back-end" of the business: incorporating, getting licenses, and making a marketing presence. I need income of course, and there were yet no clients.

I had limited funds and took a small leap. I Leased a parking lot and a commercial unit that is included. Now I am renting the parking lot in an hourly basis. Also, looking for something to do in the commercial unit.

My message to you today is that we all have doubts and concerns about starting business operations. It is time and resources that we somehow put on the line of risk. It is Okay to feel the doubts. What is not okay is to let the inner voices stop you.

If you have a business idea of any kind, if you are considering making that big leap, I want you to know you are not alone. Many of us have made this jump before, sometimes on many occasions. Trust in your mind and abilities, and have faith always. If you feel stuck or don't see an entry, start where you are. Do all that you can with what you have at hand.

Wishing you well in your life and business.

As always,

-Jonathan

Howdy sir deepwaters! Very true. My wife and I started two businesses from scratch and it is scary! lol..but the alternative was to be stuck going nowhere so we went for it so I can relate totally to what you are saying! Good luck with the lease on that property!
