Business planning in uncertain times 1

Resist the pressure to act like your customer's "bank".

Sure, you want their business, but be careful what you agree to with new clients.

If your customer can't pay you now or upfront; don't feel obliged to offer them 30 days (or more) credit.

You can't walk out of your local supermarket, arms filled with goods, shouting "I'll pay you in around 30 days or so".

It doesn't cut it. So why do you feel that you should allow your customers to walk off, arms filled with your advice, know-how, goods, whatever?! And pay "later"...

We've all been there. And later regretted it.

Stand firm.

Never allow your customers or competitors to make you think or feel that this is normal.

These are uncertain times.

Plan accordingly...
