Hi everyone, how is your day going? Mine is fine, hope yours is too
For a week now, we have seen or heard the recurrence of the word "Accolades", in the Nigeria news or social media.
They have been a lot of quotes, story line , with the word Accolades.
The word 'Accolade' means 'Praise and Approval' (online Cambridge dictionary)
The word isn't a new word, then why is it featuring now?
The Accolade meme was started by nollywood actor, Charles Okocha in response to the president's statement, that some Nigerian youths are lazy, thats "if he actually said so", to refute that statement, he came up with a short video titled "I deserve some accolades", from then on, the video went viral and everyone else is making their own accolade video or meme
I borrow a leaf from him, Nigerians are hard-working people, they are not lazy, they go through a lot to make ends meet.
As I was walking down my street this morning, I saw youths who have refused to be lazy, go in search of their daily bread, be it white collarjob, artisans doing their thing, tricycle riders , road side food vendors, street hawkers e t c. They all deserves some praise and appreciation

We have a lot of Nigerian youths( @ejemai, @tojukaka, @samstickkz, @gee1, and many others) on the steemit platform, who are doing a lot for the community, we have those who write articles, introducing new projects, crypto trading on the platform, and so much more, they have all refused to be lazy
They all deserves some Accolades
To all stemiams in the house, who have contributed in one way or the other to promote this platform, you all deserves some Accolades👍👐👑💯✅🌟⭐🍻
Thanks so much for your time. Enjoy the rest of the day!
We deserve some accolades and good ones for that matter. When a man lacks sense of direction and fails to do his home work from his family he feels every youth is as lazy as his own son at home.
We aint lazy youths..
@brightfame @antigenx @eurogee @ejemai @nairadaddy @vwoke @evarich @sammyswt @ drigweeu @dante31 @naijapidgin and list could go on and on are not lazy chap.. We are very hardworking..

Nice post yu get there, keep it up
Thanks, for taking time out to read
Calling Nigerian youths lazy was a very wrong statement to make. Not very many places will you find youths with the never-say-die spirit like you would in Nigeria.
Steemit is a good example. Over 90% of Nigerians on steemit are youths, huzzling to make ends meet. You also find them everywhere as they spource for their daily bread.
Like you rightly pointed out, these youths truly deserve some accolade.
Thanks so much for your comment
