A British patient was able to overcome cancer in just 12 weeks, astonishing the doctors around him, after the disease had spread in his body after doctors told him that the disease has reached advanced stages and that what remained in this world is only a few weeks ago.
Doctors in Manchester, north of England, were surprised that Ian Brooks, 47, who suffers from one of the worst and fastest-spreading cancers and affects the immune system in the body, was able to overcome the disease dramatically after taking a drug called (Brentiximab Vedotin.
According to the Daily Mail, Tuesday, photographs of the body of Ian Brooks showed the disappearance of more than 70 deadly cancerous tumors from his body within 12 weeks of treatment, in a stunning and unprecedented response to the treatment.
The treatment referred to calls specific proteins from inside the body in healthy areas, and then attacks cancer cells, killing them and eliminating them, a treatment available in all clinics and hospitals of the National Health System in Britain.
"Without the pioneering work in the hospital I would not be here at all," Brooks said, referring to his expected death if he did not have the treatment.
"I feel incredible, and I am grateful for the hand that makes things different in order to make others live," he said.
I had more than 70 fatal tumors in my body and all of them have been eliminated," he said.
According to UK medical statistics, about 1,500 cases of lymphoma are reported annually, but the case of Brooks is a rare species associated with the disease.
Brooks was diagnosed with the disease in 2001, but he responded well to treatment, but he relapsed in 2008, when cancer tumors returned to his body before he was finally able to overcome them and respond to treatment that lasted only 12 weeks.
Good for him, he overcame cancer. My grandmother was too old that she did not survived her colon cancer.
Unfortunately
I'm sorry
That is such a great thing. Hopefully one day soon they can control or eliminate all cancers.
Hope that my friend and everything is possible with science
