Huge difference between the coverage and canopy penetration between the Spectrum King and the purple style LED light I was using before. Right when I plugged it in, the SK402 lit up all angles and levels of my plants including the bottoms.
Brand new Spectrum King SK402 grow lamp, this light replaces the output of traditional 1000 watt HPS light while only pulling 460 watts from the wall. Can be used for both vegetative and flower growth. The SK402 LED Grow Light Covers 16 Sq ft during flower ( 4×4 ft ), and 36 Sq ft for Veg, larger than any other LED Grow Light.
I ordered the 120 degree reflector to help the light spread out. With this light on, there isn't much purpose in the small T5 lights I had mounted on the sides of the tent so I turned them off for now.
Right after filming this video, I super cropped the main plant to even out the canopy and keep the tall heads away from the light.

This hole 'full spectrum' bullshit means nothing when it comes to lumens (not XLM)
I bet your yield is at least 30% less than HID or any other common HPS grow bulb...
Full spectrum high output LED actually yields 4 times more than HPS per actual watt.
1000 watt HPS yields about 500g’s while Spectrum King yields 500-1000g’s while only pulling 460 watts.
High output LED cost half as much to run while yielding twice as much as HPS. It’s kind of common knowledge in growing now, not sure where you got the info on high output LED, or if you’re thinking of the wrong type of light (normal onboard LED), or if you are just joking because again it’s kind of common knowledge these days that LED yield twice as much per watt than HPS.
By the way, lumens and PAR are irrelevant to growth, it’s all about how many photons are reaching the plants. Reading lumens isn’t an accurate reading of photons.

Which type and brand of HID would you recommend?
I just got three of the 4x4 tents shown in the video, maybe I should test 1000 watt HPS against 460 watt Spectrum King.
Always had great success with EYE Hortilux 1000 watt
