Formula 1 - Austrian Grand Prix (Results)
Mercedes win their fourth year in a row at Austria - with Valtteri Bottas! Yesterday he qualified for pole position, started at the front, had a perfect start and took the checkered flag. His start was so good that it went under review with the Stewards.
The rules state that a driver isn't allowed to anticipate a start, but does that mean that the driver isn't allowed a perfect start? Closer inspection revealed a reaction time of 0.2 seconds. With the frame by frame investigation, did it show one clip the light still on, the next clip the light is of and the wheel has started turning.
Lo an behold, the Stewards allowed the start and as per Bottas it was the "start of his life" and with a win, what a way to en off his week.

Daniel Ricciardo
His position during the Free Practices and Qualifying remained at 5th, but this was his fifth consecutive race which finished on the podium. He had to fight Hamilton off until the checkered flag came out. I am sure this made his 3rd position even sweeter, for the Red Bull Racing team at the Red Bull Ring.
While on the podium, Martin Brundle drank champagne from Ricciardo's shoe, but only if he could have a pair to give to charity. Something called "The Shooey". Bottas declined the offer.
His team mate, Max Verstappen had a difficult weekend behind him. He was struggling through free practice and a clutch issue caused him to be involved in an accident at the first corner. Wrong place at the wrong time. It's the 5th DNF in 7 races for the young man.
