Life has been super busy!

My brother's girlfriend moved in last month after hurricane Harvey flooded her place. They got engaged and we started planning a wedding. They decided on a short engagement. We had one month to plan a wedding! Oy!!!

We had planned on having the wedding on our property, but there is so much going on that we didn't have time or money to plan something like that.

Monday afternoon they went to a little chapel about an hour from here and got married! My brother is married! Crazy to me! As many of you know, we are twins. It's been hard for me to let go of the mother hen part of me. I have taken care of him for the last 2 years. It's an adjustment to hand over the reins to someone else. I now have a new sister in law and a niece.

@jeejee and I decided that we wanted to make cinnamon rolls and cheesecakes for everyone who we are camping with. 13 cheesecakes and 100 cinnamon rolls later.

I woke up this morning to my pregnant cat climbing on me. I felt something wet and realized her water broke! I got up and put her in the box I have for her. Went into the my living room and I hear her crying at my bedroom door. So I quickly walk back into the room and she follows me to her bed. About 20 minutes later we have a beautiful little kitten.

To say that life has been busy is an understatement! In the last 48 hours I have packed for a 10 day camping trip, planned a wedding (they literally decided the day of and we found a chapel), baked a ton and a midwife for my kitty!

I love life and the obstacles that come. Working on taking things one day at a time and not stressing out about things out of my control.

Until next time....IMG_20171002_200752229_BURST000_COVER_TOP.jpg

Congratulations on gaining a new sister and a new niece (!!!), finding a chapel in time for the wedding, packing for Sukkot, making enough cinnamon rolls and cheesecake for the impromptu reception, having a new kitten (wait, is that congratulations for you or Mama Cat?-grin-)and being back on your feet with a sore toe! Hope the rest of Sukkot is time for you to actually relax and enjoy the time.

I keep bouncing between wishing we were out there with you and relieved not be hauling myself and my unusually big belly (for me) around the homestead mountain...
