Ernie's full name is Ernest Hemingway, he was named for the
author famous for his love of polydactyl cats... Ernie scrunches
down when you try to stroke his back as he is walking by... but
he has no qualms about patting my face with his "mittens"
while I am trying to sleep..
Recently, when he does that, I capture his patting paw and hold
it loosely as I am trying to get back to sleep... he lays his head
on my hand and settles in for a nap also.. His purr rumbles the
entire bed. He's obviously a cat who knows exactly WHAT he
wants and WHEN he wants it.
He truly has opposable thumbs
yes, he does and he tries to use them... I think we are ALL in trouble... I know that extra thumb adds weight to the paw-swipe!! lol
Ernie is a star! And he loves Mama, as we can all see.
