Use Seedr to Download Torrents For You

in #censorship6 years ago (edited)

Today I received a notice from my Internet Service Provider, which has been snooping on my internet traffic. I did some light research online, and found a good way to circumvent this problem.

A website called Seedr lets you to input the link to a torrent (you know, the https string), which they then download onto their cloud for you. You can then stream it, or just download the whole shebang -- and the latter is quite fast: less than 10min for a whole movie. The free account allows up to 2GB of storage at a time, and when you complete a download you can delete it off their server and your space frees up again.

It solved my problem, so I'm super pleased. +1 for freedom, -1 for the censors.
