NOW in its 10th year, the world’s biggest international astro photography competition is offering a £10,000 grand prize and cash prizes for all the winners. There are nine main categories to choose from, including Skyscapes, People and Space And Our Moon, plus two special awards; if you’ve only taken up astro photography in the last year, for example, you could be in with a shout of picking up The Sir Patrick Moore Prize for Best Newcomer.

The competition is free to enter, and you can submit up to 10 pictures via the competition website. The deadline for entries is midday (GMT) on 9 March.
