6 tips to treat your child from urinating in bed

in #child7 years ago

Most children get rid of bed-wetting on their own, and if there is a family history of bed-wetting, your child will probably stop urinating in bed at about the same age when the parents stopped urinating in bed.

If your child is not particularly upset or embarrassed by occasional bed urination, traditional home remedies may be very useful in that situation.
However, if your child has reached primary school age and is terrified of urinating in bed when spending the night outside, he may be more excited to take additional treatments.
The motivation of the child and the parents can influence the choice and success of the treatment.

Here are some changes you can make at home to help you:

Reduce the amount of fluids your baby drinks in the evening

It is important to get enough fluids, so there is no need to limit the amounts of liquids you drink during the day, but encourage your child to focus on drinking liquids in the morning and early in the afternoon, reducing the feeling of thirst in the evening.

However, do not reduce your drinking fluids in the evening, if your child is involved in sports or games in the evening.

2 - Avoid beverages and foods that contain caffeine

Caffeinated beverages are not recommended for children at any time of the day. Caffeine may stimulate the bladder, so it is recommended to avoid it, especially in the evening.

3. Encourage the child to repeat emptying the bladder before sleeping

Repeated emptying of the bladder, urination at the beginning of the preparation before sleep and again immediately before the immortality to sleep.
Your child also said that it was okay to use the toilet at night if needed.
You can use small night lights so your child can easily find the way between the bedroom and bathroom.

4. Encourage your child to use the toilet regularly during the day

During the day and evening, it is suggested that your baby urinate every two hours or so, or at least frequently enough to avoid the urge to urinate.

5. Treat constipation

If constipation is a problem for your child, your doctor may recommend laxatives.

6 - care about the prevention of rash
To prevent the rash caused by wetting your underwear, help your child rinse the lower part and genital area every morning. Covering the affected area with an ointment or protective cream may also help prevent moisture at bedtime.
You can ask your pediatrician to offer you recommended products.
