What if China can't be stopped?
Oh China can be stopped and we have little to worry about, well at least until these guys are gone.
While they supposedly feud like the Hatfield–McCoy, both are Japanese.
China-Japan conflicts date way back. And with Japan hosting the next Summer Olympics, China is going to be on their heals for years.
The question I would like to ask today is: how long can we (western civilization) feel comfortable and safe, knowing that the political expansion of China is speeding up.
China's expansion would have been inevitable even if they did not curtail their society and military to one of more tech centered. Their reduction in military so as to increase their efforts on technological innovation is somewhat scary, but consider how long Japan has been doing it.
Sure, China is now capable of building islands, but Japan was doing that much longer than they were.
And then their is India.
Unfortunately, China made it to Tibet and destroyed the peaceful nation sitting atop the roof of the world.
Now, China and India are closer to war again than they have been in a long long time.
There was even a bit of a skirmish up in the mountains years ago. China's altercations to the west are supported by some Middle East countries and India feels the pressure. This caused India to invest more in military, which the US and Isreal has increasingly supported.
China will no longer be able to ignore Japan's power come August 2020 when the Olypics and its money bring the eyes of the world to Tokyo. But, what might be more of an obstacle than anything mentioned above could come from inside China
.
The national structure which overtook the region's farmland community, tribes, and families is more than frowned upon by many of its own citizen. And no, not just because of communist ideologies.
Consider how China pressures it T'ai Chi practitioners, and its Christians for that matter. Can we believe that China can expand with great strength if the peaceful meditative art-form known as T'ai Chi that embodies Chinese culture is NOT most comfortably practiced in its native region?
As always, thanks for the inspiration @crypto.piotr!
Dear @machnbirdsparo
I'm not really sure if China would ever dare to confront India. Perhaps pushing Pakistan towards this conflict would and starting another proxy-war could happened. But open conflict? I doubt it.
I just had a chance to read you comment (somehow i didn't notice your reply earlier on) and I wanted to thank you for sharing your thoughts. Appreciate it.
Yours
Piotr
Welcome.
As for China and India, I tend to agree with you but would be less shocked of future altercations following the mountain skirmish.
Agreed that Pakistan is the ultimate pivotal point. Though my understanding is that China's presence in the Middle East grows with each passing month.
I do not have time to look into further. Certainly, a global tension area.
Side note. I think both governments dislike Bitcoin.
Godspeed
