"Father, if you want, I ask you to take this cup of suffering from me. However, I want your will to be done, not mine. "Luke 22:42
Sometimes we believe that the life of Jesus was easy and simple, but no. Many passages of the Bible show that He had to suffer injustices, insults, blows, false accusations and repudios of the people among other things. Even so, he did not give up for love of you and me. He preferred to suffer and spend that agony to give up, "I want your will to be done, not mine."
We are all aware that nobody is free to spend painful moments or complicated situations; Like Jesus, at some point in our lives we will experience what pain and suffering are. Jesus said: "... Here in the world you will have many trials and sorrows; But cheer up, for I have overcome the world. "John 16:33.
In another part of the word of God, he tells us that because evil has multiplied in this world, the love of many will grow cold, which means that there will be more chances of conflicts in families and different areas of our lives. That is why Jesus counsels us and recommends the following: "Pray, so that you can endure the difficulties you will have." Luke: 22:40
Maybe today you find yourself in that painful moment and you do not know what to do, approach God as Jesus did and tell him how you feel, be honest with Him and ask Him to do His will and not what you want. Remember that God knows what you need and what is best for you. The Bible says that God's will is good, pleasing and perfect.
Do not stop praying and strengthening yourself in the Lord when the pain and feelings want to make you believe that everything is lost and that there is no longer hope. When that happens, take the attitude of Jesus and look for your Father. "Then an angel from heaven appeared and strengthened him." Luke 22:43. (NTV)
Asking God to do his will in your prayers is the best you can do.
