What's up Steemland?
It's time to get this steemroller back on track again after enough of a break and a stop start attempt to get steemin' again several weeks ago.Β
Believe it or not, some things are far more important than crypto and staring at screens for hours on end, at least for me anyway.
So while I've been absent from the platform apart from a little lurking here and there, I've been busy snapping away all over town (Hong Kong), enjoying the cooler months of the year. No doubt the mind-numbing heat and jaw-dropping humidity will return right on cue in a few weeks from now, forcing me into the relative comfort of air-conditioning and initiating a multi-month stare-fest at monitors and screens once again.
So....
Heres' my submission this week in the cityscape photo contest which ends each Tuesday. @https://steemit.com/trending/cityscapephotography
This captures Hong Kong's iconic Star Ferry departing from Tsim Sha Tsui on its cross-harbour journey to HK side, a cheap and much more picturesque way to cross the harbour, although somewhat slower than the MTR system. Hope you like it πΒ
I shot this on my Nikon D5600 and used Lightroom for the edit.

Wow - what a light show! Now you only need good music! ;)
Hehe..You know it! I'm pretty sure my earphones were properly plugged in as I was snapping away that night π
Hey man, good to have you back! Hong Kong is such a light show at night :)
Thanks man! Yup HK's one of those places where the night surpasses the day in so many ways ;)
The colors are amazing and I love the movement of the water. I guess that harbor is quite busy.
Cheers - Yeah, it's touted as the 'busiest harbour in the world' but I can't vouch for that :)
great to have you back!
All well with the GF?
Hey hey βΊ Thanks..and thanks for asking. Yes, she's so much better and fully on the mend, and bossing the home like before π
hahaha... bossing the home, like that expression :-)
Well that's great news... now tell her to continue "to Boss" and you can continue to "serve" ;-)
π..haha..yeah, we've all got to know our roles in life
Welcome back! You have a good return with this shot. π Well done!
Thanks and thanks ππ
Great photo. Very colorful and vivid with grand scale modern architecture.
Thanks a lot, @katinamc :) Yeah...HK really delivers when the air is free from all the pollution etc ;)
Woow!
