THE BEST ENTERTAINMENT I HAD

Growing up as a child, I lived with my parents and siblings in Akwa Ibom. I had many things that kept me entertained, but the best entertainment was traveling, especially when we traveled to visit my grandma and aunt in Calabar during the Christmas holidays. I could remember when mom received a call on Saturday. We spoke to Grandma on the phone, and she told us she missed us and would love us to come spend the holiday with her. That was the first time we would travel to Calabar since Grandma relocated to live with my aunt over there. We were overwhelmed with joy. We couldn't stop talking about it. We wished it would happen at that moment. Finally, we left on Friday. On our way, we saw many things. We were so curious when we crossed the bridge and saw the river. We knew we were at Calabar when we saw the "welcome to Calabar" sign. When we arrived at the place, we were first welcomed outside by my aunt, then grandma. We took our bath and were presented with fisherman's soup with assorted fish and seafood. We watched our favorite show on TV. During the Christmas period, we were taken to de choice shopping mall; it was twice as big and nicer than that of akwa ibom, my aunt took us to the shopping center. We saw many nice things; she bought dresses for us. We also visited a nice restaurant close to the river area, where we ate roated fish and drinks, we also visited Calabar municipality, we saw different masqurades and attended the Christmas carnival, and many more. Traveling to Calabar was one of the most entertaining experiences I had as a child.

           WHY I LIKED IT

Apart from the entertaining part, I get to learn new things when traveling to other places. For example, when I traveled to Calabar, I was able to learn about their culture, language, dressing, and so on. I also got the opportunity to visit their places of entertainment and learn how things are done there.
Even now, if I am given a chance to travel, I would love to travel to other states.
