I finally got some time on my hands, and I want to make an app for myself. Buuuut, I forgot the powerkable to my computer home, so I won't be able to do it before tomorrow.
The app I want to build is a refrigerator memory app, simply to remember what's in the fridge and freezer, and remember what is about to expire.
The reason I came up with the idea, is because after making a sup that expired in 2010 and finding stuff in the drawer that expired in 2003, I wanted to build it.
The other reason is that I simply want to learn to code. If you showed me a peace of code, I couldn't probably say 2 things that made sense, rest would just be letters.
So this will be my journey learning to code.
Do you have any tips for me? Special language to write in or, where the best place is to learn?
Learning to code is one hell of a challenge. I tried it out a while ago and, wow, I was amazed at how much there is to learn. It's fascinating though, so I highly encourage you to give it your best.
And one recommendation with your posts; include some pictures. It makes a huge difference with their visibility given that the first image is used as your post thumbnail, so make sure that first image is a good one. :)

When it comes to not being able, what do you mean? Don't you have a computer, time, internet?
Mostly time. My work has nothing to do with coding, so its hard to find time to learn it. I really have to go out of my way. The most I've ever done is read a few books some time ago, but that didn't really work. Maybe I'll try again soon.
For the past 6 moths, I had no time to do anything else than work. On the other side, I have realized how much time I waste in a day. When I thought about all the small breaks on Instagram, news, Snapchat, I realized I could switch every break with learning. So every time I was going to surf on the web, I opened Grasshopper, it's a coding app, I liked it. I do think most people could learn a lot of sfudd if they realized how much time is wasted.

I would suggest javascript for frontend web development (and it can be used on the backend too - ie nodeJs) or Java to develop Android apps. The latter might be more difficult. You can build hybrid apps with javascript too though.

I'm currently learning XML in Android studio, Udacity has a course which I have learned a lot from. Do you still suggest switching to Java? To your point, I'm making an app and it needs to work on iPhone to, so I guess I can't be using Android studio.
Well XML is not a programming language, it's a markup language. I would suggest Javascript. You can code on the frontend (UI), backend (eg. nodeJs) and mobile apps (eg. React Native, PhoneGap).
