Another small lot coffee this week, and you will be surprised to see this green coffee does not come in a sack. For the 15kg batches you can purchase Green, it comes Vacuum sealed in a Grain Pro brick bag and then boxed. This is quite an expensive coffee, as a green coffee I sell this out at £30 per kg ($41).
The green coffee beans are very well sorted, an even size and no visible defects.
Roasted they look good, as usual I like to roast most of my coffee's light - just past first crack. It gives them a wonderful light brown colour.
And now we can pop some beans into the Aeropress
I use that method to judge the amount I need, I could of course weigh them but I know by know how many beans in the aero press are necessary for a good cup.
Beans into the grinder, and grind straight back into the Aeropress. Time to add a little hot but not boiling water.
It's looking good on the cup ready to plunge.
Now that looks like a tasty cup of coffee.
And it is, another wonderful cup of coffee - well done Costa Rica you have excelled yourselves with this one.

Hi @c0ff33a!
I have tasted Costa Rican Coffee many times, last time was las October over my sister’s home, every time they travel outside Argentina, they bring a couple of coffee bags from the country they visit. Well very nice post my dear friend. Thanks for sharing it!
This coffee is very good to consume for our body, thanks
post a good friend
very good green coffee that is rare in other countries
good performance
You almost make coffee seem interesting!! Hahaha. I can only apologise for my lack of knowledge. I will admit I am an "instant" coffee man and 2 cups a day at most.
Now you and my father-in-law.... Well that's a different story. I'm surprised he hasn't turned into a cup of coffee yet. He has a cupboard dedicated to his coffee beans and different flavours. Weirdo!! 😂

Ya know, I'm not really into drinking coffee, but I love eating the beans.
Seriously?! That's a new one to me. How do you go about that? @enginewitty
They have them in stores here. Some are covered in chocolate, others mixed with other nuts. Pretty scrumdiddly.
Are they soft or regular coffee beans? I'm intrigued!
They are regular beans, Nina! Have you never seen them? @ninahaskin They are pretty good!
I'll be darned. No, it's new to me.I wouldn't think they are ADA approved

Nice post my dear friend
I like coffee so much! I drink 3 times a day. It has been a part of my routine to drink coffee everyday! Haha
My day wouldn't b complete without it!
Glad we have things in common--- coffee
Nothing beats the aroma of coffee brewing in the morning! Please pass me a cup of your fresh Candelilla coffee through the screen! @c0ff33a☕
Looks good @c0ff33a, my last batch of beans just ran out so I need to buy more. I bought the last batch I from an online coffee merchant (Pact) and it was very acidic, I think they messed the roast up.
I really like a packet coffee blend by Taylors called Hot Lava Java, its extra dark roast Arabica beans from Java and Indian Robusta, it would be great to be able to grind something similar from whole beans and get all that tasty oil. It's a very strong and syrupy blend, and when you brew it in a stovetop moka pot, it attains the strength of around ten Morgan Freeman's.
Do you know where I could get a similar blend as wholebeans?

That was a very interesting post @c0ff33a! I have always been interested in trying new coffees and ways to prepare it, but never sure exactly where to begin. I always bring back a small sample of a new coffee, any chance I get.
I drink a lot of coffee and I like to try different things, so hopefully i can pick up some coffee knowledge here! 😁
Coffee from Costa Rica, oh, I can smell it. Beautiful. :-)

Hi @c0ff33a, I have just joined #the allienace couple of days ago and saw you article today in Syndicate memos, was very interested as I love coffee, especially Lavazza, but was surprised to learn about those from Costa Rica, looks very delicious. Another thing that I found in your post was that you are also from UK, I am myself from Scotland so we are close neighbours, also thanks for tip about BRIT's discord channel. I love your blog and was very nice to learn you.
Thanks for dropping by, ironically I sell a large amount of Lavazza as well as the coffee I roast. The Brits tag will make it easier for us to find posts by people in the UK. I have followed and will check out more of your blogs as well.
Great, do you have a shop or web site of the coffee sorts you sell, would be good to pop by and thanks for hit with Brits tag
Costa Rican coffee?? Yes, please! I have never had Candelilla, but their wonderfully light color really piques my interest.
I know you said you don't have to measure anymore, but because my press is fairly new to me after using a french press for years, is it possible for you to tell me how much is a good measurement to start out with, or it is probly dependent on the coffee type, I am sure.
I guess the trial and error is going to work. :)
Thanks as usual for the the coffee endorsements. They have been fun and insigtful pieces of information!
